When President Donald Trump addresses the public these days, the whole world waits to hear what outlandish comments pour out of his mouth.
Trump, 80, has made it a habit to veer off course during his televised speeches.

Trump spoke to the group of outdoor industry leaders for 18 minutes.
At one point, he began recounting a conversation he had with a boat company owner in South Carolina.
That story about electric boats quickly turned into the president asking a would-you-rather question he broke out during the 2024 presidential race.
“I said, ‘Let me ask you a question: If you get a little leak and the water starts coming in your boat and you’re in electric, do you get electrocuted or not?’” Trump recalled.
The businessman-turned-MAGA leader acknowledged pushing the same narrative throughout his political career, which he claimed irritated his critics in the media.
“I used to say it during the campaign, driving the press crazy, but people found it sort of amusing,” Trump stated.
He continued, “I said, ‘So, if I’m in an electric boat and I see I’m going down and the water’s pouring in, so I know I’m going to be electrocuted, but five yards away there are sharks.”
Standing behind the podium, Trump pointed to his right before adding, “Do I take the electrocution or do I go swimming with the sharks?
“And you know what my answer was? I’ll take the electrocution, OK. I’ll take the electric,” the grandfather of 11 conceded.
Trump has a documented history of ranting about what improbable watery demise he would choose.
In 2023, “The Art of the Deal” author busted out the shark versus electrocution debate at a rally in Iowa. The following year saw him double down on his argument while speaking in Nevada.
Trump’s fixation with mentioning sharks could be related to his alleged hatred for them.
“He is obsessed with sharks. Terrified of sharks,” Trump’s alleged former mistress, Stormy Daniels, revealed in a 2018 interview with In Touch Weekly.
The latest clips of the commander-in-chief discussing whether he would prefer to be electrocuted or eaten by sharks made their way across the internet.
Social media users shared their takes on Trump awkwardly reminiscing about electric water vessels and deadly sea creatures.
“Oh no, not this story again,” an X user complained. One reply read, “Here I am thinking that this is a replayed clip! Smh… Nope.”
“I knew this had come up before, lol,” posted another account. Plus, one annoyed commenter wrote, “Unreal that he’s still repeating this BS. You just can’t fix stupid.”
Trump faced further ridicule when someone tweeted, “OMG. He’s back to sharks and electrocution/ battery story. The stupidity is real.”
Meanwhile, a confused poster wondered, “What the f–k is he talking about?” A second obscenity-laced tweet read, “Time to grab grandpa by his f–king collar and throw him out of office.”
Trump has embraced his so-called “the weave” public speaking style. On numerous occasions, he strayed from his speech’s main subject to focus on a specific grievance or detail.
While the president believes jumping between multiple unrelated topics is an effective form of communicating, many viewers are left puzzled by his constant rambling or concerned about possible cognitive decline.
