Hillary Clinton seems to be savoring every second of watching President Donald Trump scramble to explain the Republicans’ loss in the recent midterm election.
The former secretary of state and 2016 Democratic presidential nominee knows exactly which buttons to push to get under Trump’s skin. This time, Clinton didn’t need a podium or a press conference to get her message across to the president.
Instead, she let her wardrobe do the heavy lifting, making a statement that Trump may not like.

Far more people focused on her wardrobe, spotting a not-so-subtle jab they believe she stitched right into her outfit.
To understand why it landed so hard, go back to Nov. 3. Democrats seized control of both the House and the Senate in a rout that left Republicans scrambling.

According to NBC News, the party is projected to win 259 House seats, a mark Democrats hadn’t hit since 1993. That year, her husband, Bill Clinton, took office.
Democrats also flipped seven Senate seats, including in Texas, Ohio, Maine and South Carolina.
Come January, Democrats will hold the gavels in both chambers, along with the power to finally check Trump during the last two years of his second term. For a president who spent the campaign turning the midterms into a referendum on himself, it was a public and humiliating rejection.
Clinton saw it coming. The day before voters headed to the polls, she predicted that if Democrats were “successful in winning both the House and the Senate — which I hope we will be — then I think he will become even more out of control,” she said on “The View.”
So when the votes came in and Democrats came out on top, plenty of people wondered how Clinton would mark the moment.
Clinton turned up on the newest episode of “High Stakes,” the limited podcast series she co-hosts with journalist Kara Swisher, covered head to toe in the color of the night.
A royal blue blazer, a blue top and sunglasses with mirrored, electric blue lenses.
The episode, released Nov. 6, couldn’t have been titled any more on the nose. Dubbed “The Blue Tsunami Episode,” it finds the pair breaking down the historic results, including the election of the nation’s first Black woman governor and first Muslim senator, according to Apple Podcasts. Swisher showed up in aviators of her own.
Then Clinton got to the part Republicans won’t want to replay. “This is a total rebuke of Donald Trump and his cult and the many wrongheaded evil policies that he’s inflicted on us and the world,” she said.
She praised Democratic candidates for running hard on affordability and corruption, then delivered the line that really stung.
“We had to finally lift the poisonous cloud that Trump has put over our heads for the last ten long years,” Clinton said, adding that the party now has “a new crop of very exciting public servants.”
She referred to his administration as “Trump and the minions.” She slammed the president for “refusing to take responsibility” in the Iran War.
“He just refused to admit that anything he has done for the last now nearly two years had any impact,” Clinton piled on, taking a jab at his renovation projects. “And his closing argument was standing in front of the [Lincoln Memorial reflecting pool, one of the biggest failures of the administration.”
Bill’s wife believes Trump is losing his grip, pointing to his post-election remarks, which only strengthened that impression. Instead of addressing the results, Trump held speeches about the ballroom and his latest building projects.
“He’s not only lost the plot of being president, but the gears are slipping,” Clinton said, claiming his MAGA is also at risk.
“I think the size of our majorities in both houses … are so daunting for him and his followers … I think they have very few options left,” she gloated.
Supporters ate it up, and many went straight for the shades. “Oh she’s tuff!!! The shades of blue is!!” one fan wrote. Another caught the subtext immediately, writing, “The double entendre with the blue shades. I love this woman.”
Others zeroed in, agreeing with her words, saying, “‘Poisonous cloud’ is right.” Another person wrote, “Hey, Hillary…you are funny!!!”
One viewer even noted it was “a good moment for Hillary & she absolutely deserves her Truths being acknowledged.”
The blue-on-blue moment came just one day after Clinton’s name surfaced in the Oval Office yet again.
During an event on Nov. 5, a reporter told Trump that Clinton had criticized the gold he’s added to the Oval Office.
“She did?” he interrupted. “I don’t like her house either. I know her house very well.”
Clinton wasn’t having it.
“He’s never been in my house. He’ll never be in my house. Thank you for your attention to the matter of my house,” she fired back on X, borrowing one of Trump’s favorite sign-offs.
Trump’s love of gold has made him a punchline more than once.
Before the election, Barack Obama cracked that the White House looked like “Saddam Hussein opened a Cheesecake Factory,” and Trump couldn’t shake Obama’s joke for days.
Now, Democrats are poised to take the gavels, and Trump is lashing out. Clinton seems content to keep her shades on and enjoy the view.
