Prince George’s Community Television will host a Motown-themed fundraiser Sunday at the Bowie Center for the Performing Arts to support its youth development programs.

The evening will feature performances by Motown Hall of Famers the Dynamic Superiors, along with tribute acts honoring legendary artists from the iconic record label. All proceeds will benefit PGCTV’s youth-focused media training, mentorship and leadership initiatives.

The community television station aims to bring residents together to celebrate music and culture while supporting educational opportunities for young people in Prince George’s County.

“As a community-centered organization, we are proud to provide meaningful opportunities for young people to learn, grow, and thrive,” a PGCTV spokesperson said. “This event not only highlights local talent but helps ensure the sustainability of programs that empower our next generation of media professionals.”

Tickets cost $55 and are available at BowieCenter.org or by calling 301-805-6880.

Those interested in sponsorship opportunities can contact Motown@pgctv.org.

When my father, Dr. Calvin W. Rolark, founded this paper over 60 years ago, he envisioned more than just a newspaper—he dreamed of a platform to uplift our community with stories of triumph and resilience. His unwavering dedication to service shaped our mission, which remains steadfast: to serve, inform, and empower. Today, providing free, fact-based local journalism is more challenging than ever, but the need has only grown.

Your support is vital to sustaining this legacy.
