Senior women will be celebrated at the fourth annual Sarah J. Webb Spring Luncheon on Saturday from noon to 3 p.m. at the Langston-Brown Community Center.
The event, hosted by Purposeful Living and Giving Inc. in collaboration with Neighbors Corner, will honor women 70 and older who have demonstrated leadership in their communities.
“We are thrilled to once again celebrate the incredible senior women in our community,” said Harry Webb, co-organizer of the event. “This luncheon is a small, but meaningful way to say ‘thank you’ to the women who’ve paved the way for us all.”
The luncheon was established in 2020 to honor Sarah J. Webb and other influential figures in Arlington who have positively affected residents’ lives. This year’s theme, “Honoring Our Queens and Their Crowns,” will feature lunch, prizes and live entertainment.
Attendees are encouraged to wear their favorite hats to celebrate tradition, elegance and personal style.
Webb described the gathering as “more than just a meal. It’s a moment to uplift and recognize the Senior Saints whose contributions continue to inspire and strengthen the community.”
Purposeful Living and Giving Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, focuses on enriching lives through four key initiatives: supporting seniors, providing charitable contributions to underserved families during holidays, supporting students and addressing food insecurity.
