Sen. Jon Ossoff is in the midst of a reelection campaign for the U.S. Senate in Georgia, and while the Democrat is making headlines for running one of the most competitive 2026 races—with some publications even floating him as a presidential contender—social media users are obsessing over Ossoff for a completely different reason: his Obama walk.
To be even more clear, Ossoff has social in a tizzy, with users comparing his effortless style to former President Barack Obama and his flair to President John F. Kennedy. At his rallies, Ossoff typically appears in a fitted button-up shirt with his sleeves rolled to his elbows, giving supporters a glimpse of his toned arms. His walk onto a stage or through press conferences carries the nonchalant bravado of a man confident he can deliver for his constituents.
“This type of swagger cannot be learned, you have to be born with it,” wrote one TikTok user, under a video showcasing Ossoff’s gracious glide.
“He’s got the Obama swag down pat,” added another.

Users aren’t off base in comparing Ossoff’s movement to Obama’s. A quick scroll through “Liberal Thirst Tok,” where users post who they consider the most handsome Democratic politicians, reveals compilations of the former president’s self-assured stride and charismatic personality that once captivated voters.
“No wonder Donny (President Donald Trump) is so jealous of him. Obama is so smooth,” wrote one user.
A second commenter asked, “Why have I watched this more times than I am willing to admit???”
Being likened to a political icon certainly doesn’t hurt Ossoff’s standing, as fans call for him to run in the 2028 presidential election. However, Ossoff has no plans—or, better yet, “zero interest”—in moving into the White House, a point he made in an August interview with MS Now.
“I am trying to faithfully execute my solemn obligations under the Constitution as a United States Senator, to conduct vigorous oversight of the most out-of-control presidential administration in American history,” he said. “My purpose is not to gain attention. My purpose is to do my job and do it well.”
But Ossoff’s explicit disinterest in a presidential run isn’t enough to deter users on TikTok, who hold out hope that he is simply holding his cards close to his chest and that 2028 will be the year America gets another hot president.
“Obama denied interest at least 7 times before he announced his own candidacy in 2007. It’s just not the right time to bring it up,” commented one user.
“Gah….I need a president Ossoff. We are owed a hot president,” added a second.
“Keep them guessing! See you in 2028,” exclaimed a third.
