President Donald Trump‘s recent rally appearance didn’t quite go the way he intended.
It has all the makings of what he would call an amazing event, complete with an over-the-top grand entrance with his favorite walk-out song, “Y.M.C.A.,” blaring in the background.
However, cameras captured another unexpected moment during his Wednesday appearance in Gastonia, North Carolina, sparking a media frenzy over how tense things got.
Viewers are trying to determine what sparked the brief exchange between Trump and one man in the crowd.
The moment has left some wondering whether the interaction carried more tension than the footage initially revealed.
It lasted a few minutes, with Trump clapping and walking on stage, stopping many times to do his signature dance.
His exit took another turn as he stopped to yell at an unidentified man while making animated hand gestures.
Cameras continued flashing as he erupted, pointing his finger at the man. Another angle shows the president yelling directly at the man and putting his hands over his mouth to project his words. At one point, he leaned forward a little too close and jerked back.
Trump eventually turned away and continued his exit as if nothing happened.
The man involved has not been identified, and the video does not make clear what Trump said, what prompted the exchange, or who he was talking to.
The original poster acknowledged how hard it was to tell what Trump was saying and asked viewers to help interpret the footage.

The footage was recorded as Trump was leaving a rally at Gastonia Municipal Airport, where he was campaigning for Republican U.S. Senate nominee Michael Whatley.
Whatley, a former chairman of the Republican National Committee, is running against former Democratic North Carolina Gov. Roy Cooper.
The interaction with the unidentified man in the crowd came after another viral moment involving a protester earlier in Trump’s appearance.
Trump was several minutes into his remarks when boos broke out from the crowd after a protester interrupted the rally.
The POTUS turned toward the disturbance and asked, “What do you have — a bad guy or a good guy over there?”
Trump then asked, “Huh? Where is he? Who is he?” before demanding, “Show it to me. Show him. Let me see his face.”
Police restrained the protester, a woman in a white dress with red markings, and escorted her from the rally. “Let me see his face. Oh—oh, it’s a ‘she.’ Hello!” Trump said.
He then shifted to discussing the woman’s mother, suggesting that she was watching the rally on television.
“She’s going home to mama — who’s watching right now. Her mother is watching right now on television, furious at the daughter,” Trump said strangely.
He continued by imagining how the woman’s mother might discipline her, saying, “She’s going to walk, and she’s gonna get the hell … spoken out of her — I won’t say …” before trailing off and chuckling.
